Metamorphica

This was an outstanding event put on by Bad Unkl Sista. They are a Butoh troupe who among other performances, gave us an inspiring drawing/ painting/ photo workshop set to ultra hip music spun by our hosts husband, a talented DJ.

The mood was playful, and yet there was a seriousness involved because all of us were working in a medium, dance, visual arts, music... etc.. that we all care so deeply about. And we were sharing these talents with each other.

Loads of fun, and food for future paintings.

Took Carlos' silhouette and used Craig Mullin's tutorial.

It's a great article, very interesting way to paint and completely different from what I do. Definitely broke some comfort zones here. Wish I had more time on this, but this is it for tonight.
