This is a nice post with good story telling. I notice that the frame where the man says "lets go" the woman appears to be viewed from below, but the mans coat and the approaching figure in the back are as if she is lower than the viewer. It is also very similar to the frame above. Perhaps you could show her more from an even, or even downward angle in that shot.
