Frozen Harbor

Hey everyone here. I have been grossly negligent on the blog and freaking out about my reel nonstop for weeks. Here is a matte I did on Nov 5th to try and get more film stuff in my reel.

Let me know what you think and maybe comment on my reel at www.brandonhjones.com if you have a chance. I just think I should take some stuff out, or make a second reel for film, but I would like to hear what you guys think.

my Fisrt impression is color sits well.
Yet if you want critic, I would say rework the side areas. the center and ship is fine...don't see any problems,...but the directions (skewed buildings) especially to the left side throw me of as a viewer.
Also on that left side you have the bridge area coming in but the fence zone on the left looks to high or too much pushed to the side.
I think on the right side you can get away with skewing and it might even help give panoramic look, but on the left side you need to straighten out more.
Hope that helps brandon. Later big DOg!!!

Thanks guys, Angelo this is some good critic and maybe I can fix up the foreground a bit with a little more careful painting. I get a little lazy and used to sloppy style.

actually the photo is just modified from the original which must be shot with a very wide angle lens. You can see the original on my website under the 2D section by a mouse rollover.

Nadia, no its not Siberia, just trying to get work as a matte painter, hopefully SF will always be foggy and not too cold.

Thanks
