Seeing if anybody is down to do some gallery hopping on Saturday! I'd say we can meet up on Union Square around 1, and start going through the Geary Blvd. galleries. Hoping to end up at the Shooting Gallery on Larkin. I think those are the only ones I know of by Union Square. Then there are also some neighboring galleries by 111 Minna as well. Any interests?
I'm experimenting with a new technique to make my digital stuff look more painterly. Anyhow, hope this isn't too radical for Nocturnal. It's more poster art than game concept, but any thoughts on color, technique, poses?
Here are some environments that I attempted for "Red". I created three mock ups of a city using Maya to paint over. After one, I wasn't liking the art direction of it all and might need to go back to the drawing board. Look-wise, I don't think this is the feel I was looking for for the project.
It's a little corny, but this started out as a real self-promo. Now it's an another exercise in skin color, facial expression, you name it. I'm having some fun with this one.
