Hey guys, anyone of you should go check out the Disney Museum, just opening in the Presidio. I got a sneak preview cause my wife works in the Presidio and it was really interesting to learn not only about his life, but all the dealings he had to do from being an individual artist, to commercial and dealing with business. Its good.

I used to grade papers and co-teach a figure drawing class at Cal Poly SLO. I kept a lot of the homework assignments. The exercise is filled out already, but you can erase and start over in Photoshop.
These were created by Robert Densham, Professor Emeritus. He's basically my mentor. Check out his art at http://denshamarts.com/
Hey guys, I am attaching this pic about color passes from Scott Spencers Creature Creation. That book, although for Zbrush, has a great chapter on the fundamentals of creating realistic skin, color temperature zones on the face, and simulating sub surface imperfections with painting techniques developed by the airbrush guys in the older days of laytex creature creation. Really helpful for painting if you havn't seen it.

Brooklyn-based artist José Parlá's work explores the thought and process behind his densely-layered graffiti paintings. Perhaps more than any other artist, José blurs the lines between word and image and graffiti and "fine art." In the video José explains his influences (including his brother Rey Parlá's abstract scratch films) and at his Fort Greene studio we get the rare privilege of seeing him work. Watching his fluid and distinct method of writing is endlessly mesmerizing, a technique that makes the prolific artist's output all the more impressive.
