Driver Waits
Joan Part 2
Well! Didn't quite make the Chow on time... frankly after seeing the final burning thread, it felt kind of intimidating. Some awesome stuff there. Which made realize that this isn't even the real direction I wanted to take this piece. I think what is working really well are my basic color choices; it definitely contributes as to how I want the composition to go to. I also like the design, plain and simple, but as far stylization go, I originally wanted to go for more hyper real and less cartoony.
Crits and comments plz.

Can I get some advice on this one.
I did a pencil sketch while driving to work down coastal hiway at Sea Cliff. ( I pulled over and parked actually, to be safe.) Then made notes on the colors by writing (grey blue) and other such nonsense. Tried to recall it a couple weeks later from home.
Help me make it pop more, looks washy.
Thanks

Metamorphica
Metamorphica
I went to the very first one and I have to say it was a blast. This is a monthly event that my friend hosts. It's pretty intense - you're surrounded by a whole bunch of other creative artists, drawing practically non stop. It has a pretty chill atmosphere and if you're interested to draw some costumed figures, this is the place to go!
Here's a link to some of the sketches I did that night: http://nocturnalconcept.blogspot.com/2009/03/metemorphica-workshop.html
And for more info, here's their blogspot that has a whole bunch of pictures from previous events and other people's drawings: http://busstopgallery.blogspot.com/

Bahara WIP
Hey everybody.
Been trying to work on some 3D in addition to the Painting. Tyrone inspired me so I am trying to take a character from a concept I did. I have been working how I normally do and was hitting the same roadblock. I am trying to work out UV unwraps, using smallest texture, all of this thinking is screwing up what I want to do, a great sculpt. So I saved out another version to just work in pose and focus on the modeling.
Let me know,
B
